Considering that the site in question is CGN -- I ardently believe that it
is totally relevant to see the lives of these saints appear every week.
Thanks, Venantius for taking the time to express your views on the Communion of Saints. CGN's website has provision for "Saints of the Week" accessible through the DEVOTION pulldown menu. Instead of daily postings, ta change to "Saints of the Week" would help immensely.
Just as Fr. Jude's Sunday Reflections also appear on CGN's website under the link, REFLECTIONS, Alfred's "Saints of the Week" would be accessible through the SAINTS link. The Subject line for all these postings would have to begin with the trigger word SAINTS: and also sent to cgn@catholic-goan-network.net (see above).
Members who can only access their mail from a work location find too many postings overwhelming. It is very easy for retired people like us and those with Internet access at home to conveniently browse their mail. Weekly postings, such as: <SAINTS: For the Week of __________ > would strike be a happy medium. Thanks, Alfred, for continuing to provide us all with weekly inspirations on Saints :-)
Also thanks to Amancio, Frances & Orlando and Oscar, for their invaluable input. Posting below Fr. Nascimento's comments to cgn-goacom-owner@yahoogroups.com. Fr. Nascimento, kindly e-mail postings to cgn@goacom.com with a copy to cgn-goacom@yahoogroups.com Thanks.
God Bless:
Clare & Pat

Dear? Mr.Alfred,
Your postings on " Here comes the saints" have helped me much in my daily
meditation and preaching at mass in this vast parish of Vasco da Gama as
well to emulate their example in my life. Each saint has something unique
for me as?? they are our friends and companions? Your? unique contribution
on CGN on the above subject is a great asset and unique to? the GCN family.
So kindly continue to send us these postings. God bless you and your family.
Off the point. I knew you at Loutulim in 1988-1990 when you were in holiday
and I have admired your patience, endurence and writings? since then.? With
God's grace you still continue with that spirit. Hence I wish you ' lamb
auk' and Devacho axirvad'.I formed part of the parish community with late
Fr. Alvaro Furtado, the revered Parish Priest and Assistant Parish Priest
Fr. Joaquim Loiola Pereira. Warm regards to your family.
Much love and prayers.
In Union with the Holy Family,
Fr. Nascimento Mascarenhas.
